CREDO
Credo of Students and Graduates of the Degree Programme International Management
We, the students and graduates of the degree programme of International Management, are well-educated and responsible members of society and are committed to sustainable management.
In accordance with our education in business, we set high standards for ourselves to act professionally, open-mindedly, and with sustainable success in mind.
Committed to these principles, we are convinced of the necessity to inform ourselves extensively about our business environment and to consider the short-term and long-term effects of our actions. On a regular basis, we want to examine critically the following factors within a regional as well as global context:
-
The effects of our actions on other people.
-
The effects of our actions on the environment and future.
-
The effects of our actions according to legal and ethical guidelines.
As a challenge to sensitise ourselves to ethical principles, we want to live up to this credo and, thus, set a benchmark for sustainable management.
Questions for Graduates of the Degree Programme of International Management
In order to live up to our credo in our professional lives, we can ask ourselves the following questions when we have to take difficult decisions:
- Based on my own conscience and without being influenced by external factors, how would I decide in this situation?
- Is this decision based on the principles of objectivity, integrity, and critical thinking?
- Does my decision do justice to sustainable management?
- Am I aware of the positive and negative effects of my decision on different groups of people?
