Dear partner, dear incoming student,
FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences is delighted to present the second international newsletter for our partner universities and our future incoming students.
In this second edition we would like to present again all important dates, deadlines and our orientation packages for incoming students for the spring semester 2010.
Furthermore we offer you some reviews of our activities for incomings students and other events of the passed semester.

| FH JOANNEUM Kapfenberg offers an International Programme in spring term for students of a business, IT or engineering related degree programme who have concluded the first two semesters of their studies and have a good knowledge of English (B2 or above). This programme is interesting for all students who are interested in going abroad and learning German. Four degree programmes offered at the Kapfenberg Campus have joined forces to create and offer them a programme in English in order to facilitate their stay with us more...

| To make your arrival and your stay as comfortable and exciting as possible, we offer free participation in the “FH JOANNEUM Buddy Programme”. Buddies are regular students at FH JOANNEUM who are interested in meeting new people from foreign countries. They will be happy to help you adjusting to Austrian student life. Right at your arrival they will pick you up from the airport/train station in Graz or train station in Kapfenberg/Bad Gleichenberg and provide you with valuable information about living in Austria. more...

| The 3rd Study Abroad Fair of FH JOANNEUM Graz, which will be organised by the “International Relations" department, will take place on 25 March 2010 in the main lecture hall. | The Tandem programme aims at a combination of academic and social integration of international students. It is designed to go beyond the cultural input and language practise international and regular students are offered in language classes. | Take a group of people and put them round the kitchen table, let them cook up some great food and you already have the recipe for a fun evening: eight participants of the tandem project at FH JOANNEUM recently received an introduction to the delights of Persian cuisine. | A record number of 15 exchange students sat their ÖSD (Austrian German Diploma) exams at FH JOANNEUM Graz and Kapfenberg on 3 and 4 June. Fourteen candidates are now proud holders of the internationally recognised ÖSD certificate. more...

| From September 16-19 this year’s conference of the European Association of International Education (EAIE) took place in Madrid. With 3.600 professionals from the field of international education and relations attending, the conference was a record.
