Clinical haematology

Course content

Lab diagnostics and therapy of diseases of the haematopoietic system (anaemia, reactive changes of the white blood count, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative diseases, lymphoproliferative diseases, acute leukaemia, thrombocytic diseases, parasitic diseases)

Learning outcomes

Based on the basics of haematology, molecular-genetics and pathology from the previous modules, the students acquire the knowledge about the most important diseases in haematology, their diagnosis and therapy possibilities.
The students can apply new technologies and analytical methods in diagnostic haematology.
They can make connections to other medical-diagnostic departments and can include their findings correctly.
