Course content

Basic terms and areas of activity in infection hygiene, social hygiene, epidemiology, infection-prevention measures in particular disinfection and sterilization, hospital hygiene including staff hygiene

Learning outcomes

The students acquire the basic foundations of the organsiation and structure of the human organism. They understand the biomchemical and physiological processes and can distinguish pathological changes. In all special fields they are able to take the appropriate hygienic measures according to the guidelines. This theoretical knowledge is the basis for applying methods and techniques of laboratory analysis under supervision and in medical diagnostics.
