Course content
Structure and function of the respiratory system, heart and circulatory system, kidneys (electrolytes and water balance), acid-base equilibrium, cell membrane and action potential, protein synthesis, metabolism, blood and coagulation system, lymphatic system, immune system, digestive system, nutrition and thermoregulation, nervous system, humoral system, motor system, skin and sense organs, developmental physiology, age-related physiological processes
Learning outcomes
The students acquire the basic foundations of the organsiation and structure of the human organism. They understand the biomchemical and physiological processes and can distinguish pathological changes. In all special fields they are able to take the appropriate hygienic measures according to the guidelines. This theoretical knowledge is the basis for applying methods and techniques of laboratory analysis under supervision and in medical diagnostics.
