Introduction to nuclear medicine

Course content

Use of radioactive substances and core-physical procedures in the medicine to the functional diagnostics and localisation diagnostics as well as open nuclids in the therapy and the ray protection with its physical, biological and medical bases

Learning outcomes

The students apply the knowledge about methods and techniques previously gathered in the study laboratories in different specialist fields of biomedical science. They are able to improve their approach to work, to test their results and to release the findings. They enhance their knowledge of analytical processes and reflect upon their own competence. The students are to be solved in the situation by means of gas chromatography and liquid chromatography, analytic dividing problems and to carry out basic quantification and identification experiments by the coupling of classical detectors (FID, UV. . . ) and mass spectrometry detectors. They know bases and ranges of application in the nuclear medicine.
