Course content

Prerequisites for consistent content; bringing together different departments and teams; task descriptions for all the responsible parties in the various phases of the web content lifecycle; securing the findability and reusability of content.

Learning outcomes

Generic competencies: - ability to synthesize, - ability to communicate. Field specific competencies: Generic competencies: - ability to solve problems in an innovative manner, - ability to synthesize knowledge, - ability to communicate effectively. Field specific competencies: - practical and methodological skills, - editorial skills, - management skills. After completing the module, the student has a thorough knowledge of the methods and tools necessary for implementing content strategies in organizations. She/He is aware of the processes that have to be used circularilly in order to ensure strategic communication in the long run and to constantly develop content strategies further. He/She can determine a budget for the creation of content and controll it as well as plan and organize the marketing of content. She/He acquires in-depth knowledge which is related to practice: In-house project management, co-ordination of teams and employees in organizations, co-ordinated interaction with the management of the organization, understanding of the processes and structures of the organization and adopting the position of an "agent of change" in the organization ("change management", giving advice and support as well as promoting changes in organizations).

Lecture (7 units on the first weekend of face-to-face instruction; 4,75 hours of moderated e-learning)
