Theoretical relationships are illustrated in practical laboratory exercises.
Learning outcomes
Graduates
- understand the term information and its representation as an electrical signal
- are familiar with common coding and modulation methods for electrical signal transmission
- are able to determine the capacity of transmission channels using measurements and calculation,
- are familiar with the setup of sending and receiving systems,
- are able to build basic circuits and carry out measurements using a spectrum analyser.
