Electronics and Computer Engineering
Semiconductor Technology
Integrated course, 6.00 ECTS
Course content
- Semiconductor diodes and circuit examples
- Bipolar transistors and basic circuits
- Field-effect transistors and basic circuits
- HF behaviour of basic transistor circuits
- Differential amplifiers
- Push-pull amplifiers
Students have to solve examples in exercises, partly with computer support.
Theoretical relationships are illustrated in practical laboratory exercises.
Learning outcomes
Graduates
- are familiar with the function and operation of diodes and transistors,
- are able to select the proper components for a specific task and
- understand their application in elementary semiconductor circuits and can design and implement such circuits.
