Course content
This course takes place once a week and integrates the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, and emphasizes oral communication and listening comprehension in a culturally authentic context.

• Describe situations and draw conclusions
• Talk about people: appearance, character, month of birth
• Report about your own childhood and life before
• Compare past and present
At the end of the course you will master the following grammatical structures:
• Presente, Pretérito Perfeito and Imperfeito of the most important verbs
• Possessive pronouns
• Modal verbs saber and poder
• The use of ser and estar
• Estar a + INF as a progressive form
• Pronunciation exercises
• The local adverbs aqui, aí, lá, ali and the demonstratives
• Ficar and estar as location information
• Imperative
• The adverbs já and ainda
• Increase in adjectives
