The idea of artificial life has occupied mankind ever since it turned nature into its subject. Driven by the spirit of progress, we create our matching image. A machine which can think on par with us. On par with us? The goal of this master’s thesis is to address this question and take a look at the future of artificial intelligence. This thesis also examines the history of robotics, from the early beginnings in antiquity up to self‒learning computers in the present day.
