Lou – An unpredictable story

A Group of nineteen participants wrote three to seven sentences each to create a short story that was used as a foundation for a comic. This raised the question of how an unpredictable story can be visually realized.

Throughout this paper, the author explains the method of sequential writing and gives a brief overview of the comic medium. The paper focuses on pre-production and briefly documents the practical transformation of the story into a comic, illustrating the procedure by examples from the creation of ‘Lou’.
