Modular Jewellery Display

Modulares Schmuckdisplay 3

Based on the author‘s many years of experience as a contemporary jewellery artist, this work first analyses the specific requirements of a presentation display. Thereafter common display types and aids are examined in more detail and contrasted with these requirements. All gained insights are bundled, adapted and contribute to the conception of a new jewellery display which has the intention of achieving compatibility with as many jewellery objects as possible while also covering diverse spatial contexts.

The development process is divided into several sub-aspects − (spatial) context, form and format, functionality, colour and material. Step by step, an approach to the realisation of the novel jewellery display and the pro- duction of first prototypes takes place. Modular, transformable and flexibly applicable elements are created that are inexpensive and ecologically justifiable whilst still enabling a uniform display.
