Spa Business Education announces its collaboration with FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences

This first- of-its-kind collaboration brings together the vocational Spa Management Online Programme created by Spa Business Education, part of Raison d'Etre the global spa consultancy and think tank for wellness, and the MBA in International Hospitality and Spa Management one of Austria's leading academic institutions, FH JOANNEUM, University of Applied Sciences.

This unique association will enable students to combine these two exceptional spa management programs and help spa professionals around the world reach their maximum potential through an integrated, market-orientated educational programme specifically created for the wellness, spa and hospitality industry.

The Spa Management online programme, which has been running since 2013, has been created by top industry experts with solid operational experience who know what the growing spa industry is looking for in its future leaders. The part-time programme, which includes 140 hours of course material and support, is carried out completely online, which means greater flexibility. It covers everything from leadership and marketing and PR to HR and finance.

For university graduates, already in the industry or looking to join it, FH JOANNEUM in Austria offers a postgraduate MBA course in International Hospitality and Spa Management. This is a part-time programme which focuses on day-to-day spa management as well as looking at strategic management for long-term planning. Lectures are held in two weekly blocks to make it compatible with those in full-time work plus there are also additional e-learning phases. The part-time structure of the course allows participants already working within the industry to immediately put into practice what they have learned.

The Spa Management Online Diploma will now be accredited and recognised by FH JOANNEUM, meaning SBE graduates who then want to continue their studies by taking the MBA Spa Management course, offered by FH Joanneum, will be exempt from taking the Spa Management module at university. A preferential rate will be given to graduates of both the SBE programme and the MBA in "International Hospitality and Spa Management" who wish to continue their studies with either of the two affiliated programmes.
