Ukraine@FH JOANNEUM

The war in Ukraine and the suffering of the people affected is also a source of deep concern for FH JOANNEUM. The departments of Equality and Diversity and International Relations at FH JOANNEUM are the first points of contact on this topic. They have, among other things, produced a guide on counselling and support options in Styria / Austria for those affected.

Support and help

The Office for Equality and Diversity has created a guide for affected persons on counseling and support options in Styria / Austria. The document is aimed at those affected by war and flight and those providing support.

Offer for students and prospective students

Ukrainian students will be exempt from study fees at FH JOANNEUM in the summer semester 2022.

Refugees who would like to study at FH JOANNEUM will be gladly advised: Info on advising via email to info@fh-joanneum.at.

We have introduced a simplified admission procedure for young adults with a higher education background: More information about application and study.

German courses

The Department International Relations at FH JOANNEUM offers free German courses to Ukrainian refugees.

Thanks to generous donations, the quick support of the city of Graz and the municipality of Bad Gleichenberg, as well as volunteer students and teachers with knowledge of Russian and/or Ukrainian, from mid-March to mid-May 2022 32 German courses have been launched, six of them for seniors and one for young people.

For information about follow-up courses visit fh-joanneum.at/hochschule/services/refugees/.
