Updated information concerning COVID-19: All lectures and Open House event cancelled

In line with the recommendations given by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research all regular lectures at FH JOANNEUM are cancelled as of 11th March 2020 until further notice. Starting next week, as many lectures as possible will be given in an online format. All other events, including the Open House event, are cancelled. All online lectures already scheduled will be held as planned.

In the coming days, FH JOANNEUM will make arrangements to shift regular lectures to an online format. All exams planned for the period 11th-14th March are postponed to a later date. The university library is also closed until further notice, whereby online services will continue to operate.

Details concerning further measures will be made available on our homepage and communicated via email as the situation develops.

Students and part-time lecturers are requested not to come to the FH JOANNEUM premises in Graz, Kapfenberg and Bad Gleichenberg. Field trips and other planned excursions are cancelled. Students currently on internships or exchange semesters are asked to adhere to the measures put in place at the companies and institutions in question.
FH JOANNEUM employees should continue to come into work as normal, while remembering to practice the preventive actions and safety measures which have already been communicated regarding the spread of COVID-19. Business trips are prohibited until further notice. The only exceptions are trips between the FH JOANNEUM campuses.

FH JOANNEUM will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and adapt and update the measures currently in place in accordance with any instructions from the appropriate authorities. Through the implementation of measures, FH JOANNEUM is unreservedly supporting the approach of the Federal government to stem the spread of COVID-19 as rapidly as possible.
