Video recordings from small aircraft

Since the development of photography, people have been trying to produce photographs not only from the ground, but also from the air. With the emergence of aviation decisive progress has been made and so far a large number of camera systems have been developed in order to create not only photos but also moving images from the air.

This master’s thesis looks at the creation of such video recordings outside of the currently widespread techniques. Using two different types of small aircraft, the advantages of helicopter and drone photography were applied to low‒budget recording techniques, and possible areas of application were identified.
