Bernadette Frech

Bernadette Frech studied International Management at FH Joanneum Graz, Austria and the Università degli Studi di Sassari, Italy. Currently she is doing her doctoral studies at the Aston Business School in the UK.

At FH JOANNEUM she is lecturer and project manager at the Department of International Management. She teaches Strategic Management, International Management and Entrepreneurship at postgraduate and undergraduate level. She manages large-scale European and national research projects in the areas of entrepreneurship and quality in higher education. She is responsible for business consulting projects at the department in the fields of marketing management, consumer behavior, and international management. In the business sector she cooperated inter alia with the Austrian Airlines Group, Bayer AG, Knapp AG, Neckermann Versand AG, and the Styrian Business Development Agency.

Besides, she is visiting researcher at the Aston Business School, UK being involved service marketing and international marketing lectures. She is external expert for the World University Service Austria, developing strategic funding priorities for universities in the Western Balcans and constantly evaluating the progress of programme developments at selected universities.

IES: Improving employment service systems through European benchmarking and good practice implementation.

FEELS: Defining trends in European food chain management with a focus on retail branding and country-of-origin effects.

COMPETENCE: Matching competences in higher education and economy. From competence catalogues to strategy and curriculum development.

TAQC & MOLE: Creating an observatory on European-wide transparency of academic qualifications and competencies for catching the mobility of labor in Europe und filling the generalized academic policy.

MISLEM: Developing meta-level indicators for establishing a systematic linkage between educational institutions and the labor market.

E-GUIDE: Quality assurance and needs analysis for the guidance of disadvantaged job seekers into initial vocational training.

RESNET: Quality assurance and needs analysis for novel e-learning offers on renewable energy ressources.

AdysTrain: Train the trainers for the dyslectic workforce.

Quality Assurance in Bosnia and Herzegovina: External evaluation of quality assurance systems established at Bosnian universities in Sarajevo, Mostar and Zenica
