Profile
Sava Dalbokov, MBA, brings over two decades of bank management experience, primarily with the Erste and Sparkassen Group, where he made significant contributions to the development of business activities in Southeast Europe.
His banking career began in 1997 as a financial analyst at Erste Bank in Vienna, where he supported some of the group’s most important acquisitions in Central and Eastern Europe. From 2002 to 2008, he served as a member of the board at Erste Bank Croatia and later as CEO of Erste Bank Serbia, playing a key role in the successful strategic development and market establishment of these institutions. After a brief yet impactful stint as founding CEO of “good.bee,” the Erste Group’s social banking start-up, Sava took on strategic leadership for Southeast Europe at Steiermärkische Sparkasse in October 2010 as a board member. In this role, he led the steady, risk-conscious expansion of the regional banking and leasing network, consolidating Steiermärkische Sparkasse’s leadership position in Southeast Europe. Since mid-2019, he has been supporting leading Styrian companies in their development in Central and Southeast Europe, currently overseeing the Croatian branch of the Weitzer Parkett Group. Since 2022, he has served as a member of the supervisory board for several Southeast European banks within the Addiko Group.
Sava studied Business and Economics at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, USA (Bachelor, 1994, summa cum laude), and completed the joint international MBA program at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA (1996, summa cum laude).
Married with three children, he enjoys spending his occasional free time engaging in sports (soccer, skiing, cycling) and music (participating in several amateur rock band projects for good causes).
Sava is a fan of social entrepreneurship and individuals who make the (economic) world more inclusive and sustainable: https://youtu.be/ohTQAjykeAA
