Uwe T.P. Arnold received his diploma in aeronautical engineering in 1988 from the University of Braunschweig, Germany. He worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Flight Mechanics, where he finished his PhD thesis on blade instabilities of stoppable rotors. Thereafter, he was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship for a research tenure at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University in the United States. Returning to Germany in 1996, Dr. Arnold joined ZF Luftfahrttechnik GmbH, a German company specializing in R&D, production, and MRO of dynamic helicopter components. There, he is responsible for R&D and serves as the head of the design organization. He has published 35 scientific papers and articles, holds more than 10 patents, and has received multiple awards for his work. He is also a lecturer at the Academic Training Center of the German Armed Forces.
