The media thus form a basis for the understanding of democracy and political action. <\/p>\n<p>This development can be described by the term &ldquo;<em>mediatisation of the world in which we live<\/em>&ldquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Critical media competence emphasises the political dimension of media action. Interests, power structures, economic and social dynamics must be understood, in order to be able to deal consciously with the media: in the sense of receiving, analysing and shaping content on an individual, social and cultural level.<\/p>\n<p>On the basis of current aspects of media change, the two-day workshop provides knowledge about and analysis tools for topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Media economics and digitalisation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>&ldquo;Filter bubbles&rdquo; and &ldquo;Echo chambers&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strategies against fake news and hate speech<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Big data<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Protection of privacy<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Media\/copyright and personal rights<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Data Confidentiality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Trainers:<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>Mag.
