For the FH JOANNEUM the dissemination of knowledge is a major issue, therefore we provide support with open access publishing for employees of the FH JOANNEUM.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#primary\">Primary publication<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#second\">Secondary publication<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#how\">How the library can support you<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"second\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-none\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <div class=\"module-migration-headline\">\n<h5>Primary publication<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <p>You have written a scientific article and would like it to get published in an <strong>scientific journal<\/strong>?<br>\nOpen access publishing offers a number of advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>unlimited visibility<\/li>\n<li>facilitation of knowledge exchange within the academic community and promotion of research cooperations<\/li>\n<li>increased citation frequency<\/li>\n<li>exploitation rights remain with the author<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are the options for open access publishing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose a quality tested <strong>open access journal (Gold Open Access)<\/strong> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/doaj.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)<\/a> to avoid untrustworthy publishers and journals. In case of doubt, <a href=\"mailto:bibliothek@fh-joanneum.at\">please consult us<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Please use our current <strong>open access agreements (Gold and Hybrid Open Access)<\/strong> to avoid article processing charges (APCs). Currently the FH JOANNEUM has negotiated agreements for open access publishing with ACM, Elsevier, Emerald, IEEE, Springer and IWA publishing. If secondary publication is allowed, you could upload your article to a disciplinary repository or to our <a href=\"https:\/\/epub.fh-joanneum.at\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">institutional repository ePUB<\/a> to provide access to a broad international audience (Green Open Access).<\/p>\n<p>Publications by members of FH JOANNEUM can be found on our publication server ePUB. This repository is listed in <a href=\"https:\/\/v2.sherpa.ac.uk\/id\/repository\/10668?template=opendoar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OpenDOAR<\/a>, the global directory of open access repositories. ORCID-iDs are often required for funding or communicating with publishers.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Allocation of DOIs<\/strong><br>\nA DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is a persistent identifier used to identify a digital publication. If you need a DOI, <a href=\"mailto:bibliothek@fh-joanneum.at\">please contact the library<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Quality check of OA-Journals (predatory publishing \/ journals)<\/strong><br>\nWe will review the journal you want to publish in for you in case you have any doubts.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Journal selection support (OA cooperations)<\/strong><br>\nOur cooperations with various publishing houses allow you to publish your articles without paying article processing charges (APCs). Make use of our cooperations!
