From February 23\u201326, 2026, FH JOANNEUM hosted its first EU4Dual Microcredential in the field of sustainable production.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

EU4Dual Microcredentials<\/strong> are characterized by 25% of the course content being delivered through practical training at a company as a second learning environment, and by the inclusion of at least one other EU4Dual partner through a guest lecture. On February 25, 2026,  Emmanuel Duc<\/strong> from ESTIA University<\/a> enriched the start of the module with a guest lecture on “Sustainability Through and With Robotics” <\/strong>— offering fascinating insights into how automation technologies can promote resource efficiency and circular economy in production. Markus Brillinger,<\/strong> Head of Degree Programme Engineering and Production Management<\/a> and Production Technology and Organization<\/a> laid the theoretical foundation<\/strong> in his introductory lecture, focusing on sustainability in the core processes of production engineering.<\/p>\n

In the practical part, held at industry partner AVL<\/a>’s Battery Innovation Center (BIC) and supervised by Martin Weinzerl, students tackled the sustainable production of battery packs for e-mobility. Through two use cases, they analyzed specific challenges and developed innovative solution concepts.<\/p>\n

The Microcredential<\/a> will be offered annually in February at FH JOANNEUM.<\/p>\n
