    In their bachelor\u2019s thesis, Lara Wieser and Christina Lamprecht explore how poetic texts can be expressed through typography and how this affects readers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    The work explores the typographic staging of poetic texts, the effects on readers, and how visualisations can help poetry stay relevant. In two complementary parts, media-specific differences and parallels between analogue and digital poetry\/typography were discussed. Historical developments and works were examined to create necessary contexts for analysing contemporary trends.<\/p>\n

    Current design conventions were discussed in dialogue with six designers, while digital trends were explored through a survey on ‘Instapoetry’. On a micro and macro typographical level, possibilities for visualising poetry and language and therefore influencing their perception were shown. In this context, aspects such as font choice, format, interaction, and linearity were addressed. While design opportunities in the analogue world are focused on haptics and physical presence, new spaces for designers arise in the digital space through technical possibilities. At the interface of analogue and digital, typography and language, the poetry of the future finds space to evolve.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
