    This thesis looks at the design and development of a system to expand the sound possibilities of a common zither. Through the use of different sensors, the acoustic signal’s most important parameters such as pitch and volume should be recognized and processed by the software in real time. The resulting data can then be used in various ways, for example to control a synthesizer’s oscillators, or modulate effect parameters at will.
    \nThis system was adapted to meet the requirements of the zither player Karl Stirner. In the future it will be integrated into a zither which will also be custom developed and built for him.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
