Sensors in Environmental Engineering
Integrated course, 3.00 ECTS
Course content
This integrated course provides an understanding of the key components of measuring paths and enables students to design and operate an environmental monitoring system. The course covers all components along the measuring path (different sensors), amplification, linearisation as well as frequent measurement errors and systematic storage of measurement data (Big Data).
Learning outcomes
Module UWM 3 introduces students to the requirements of recycling management and central aspects of industrial process engineering as a basis for measures to mitigate emissions and enhance energy efficiency. It also provides an overview of the most important measuring sensors used in environmental engineering as a prerequisite for initiating and assessing improvement measures.
