Storage Technologies
Integrated course, 3.00 ECTS
Course content
This integrated course provides an introduction to the characteristics, functioning principles and dimensioning of existing and future energy storage systems. It covers electrical, thermal, mechanical and chemical energy storage units and their applications. Another focus is on the fundamentals of successful design and optimisation of distribution networks for power, gas and heat.
Learning outcomes
Module ETE5 deals with existing and future storage technologies and distribution networks for power, gas and heat. Students are provided with in-depth knowledge of key indicators and parameters as well as design and dimensioning of energy supply facilities.
