Course content

This integrated course presents the various types and designs of modern transport networks (including their historical development). Key characteristics and basic parameters of the individual transport modes and infrastructures will be discussed. The relationship between mobility and other technical and social domains will be explained based on practical exercises.

Learning outcomes

"The student:
- Knows the relationships between mobility, energy and the environment
- Knows what nodes and networks are and what resistances influence mobility - Knows the contents of the road safety program 2011-2020 as well as the road safety measures
- Knows the project management process and can write final scientific reports
- Knows what is meant by accessibility, capacities, services and how the mode of transport can be influenced
- Knows the connection between traffic and environmental aspects
- Knows how urban and spatial planning works and how it influences the environment and mobility "
