Course content

This integrated course presents the various types and designs of modern transport networks (including their historical development). Key characteristics and basic parameters of the individual transport modes and infrastructures will be discussed. The relationship between mobility and other technical and social domains will be explained based on practical exercises.

Learning outcomes

The student has knowledge of environmental and mobility systems and is able to elaborate the differences between freight and passenger transport based on practical tasks; he/she acquires in-depth knowledge of project management and is able to write project papers dealing with complex topics such as mobility behaviour, costs and environmentally relevant aspects; he/she has knowledge of the basic competences of mobility and its environmental impact.
