Energy and Transport Management

In the future, we will require innovative solutions for sustainable energy supply, transport and urbanisation. You can become a part of these solutions with us. We offer in-depth professional expertise and provide you with a comprehensive understanding of local and global influences, flexibility and the pleasures of meaningful work.

What you will learn:

Sustainable transport planning

You will work on optimising the routes and timetables for trains and inner city transport to persuade as many commuters as possible to switch from cars to the train. The topic of your master thesis will be agreed with a transport company of your choice – we are happy to provide you with the necessary support.

Energy provision and distribution

You will work on local energy supplies based on smart grids in your region and will write your master thesis working in a local small or medium-sized enterprise.

Specialisation in energy

Depending on your requirements, you will focus on photovoltaics, hydropower or the oil industry. The energy supply of the future will be dependent on use of alternative energy sources, the potential to cover peak loads in the short term using pump storage or gas fired power stations and the energy efficiency of industrial processes. You too can play your part in the energy transition.

International energy business

You want to pull the strings in the international energy trade? We will make you familiar with the issues of financing, risk management and corporate management. And a semester abroad will prepare you for the international arena.

Environment

Since the issues of energy and transport are significantly linked with the impact on the environment and society, you will also develop complex skills relating to business management and environmental technology.

Specialisation in transport

In the field of transport, the range of options extends from inner city distribution logistics to train operation and transport safety. You will work on cost-effective logistics solutions for the transportation of goods, increased use of public transport or spatial planning to help traffic flow as smoothly as possible.
