• Overview of extra-logistics (transport logistics)
• Traffic carrier for goods
• Incoterms

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students are able to:

• Evaluate design and use of automated storage systems and their optimal application
• Assess design and use of driverless transport systems and their optimal application
• Understand LCIA for transportation and assess its advantages and disadvantages with regard to specific applications
• Understand and calculate cost implications of automation in logistics
• Explain possible applications of warehouse management systems and their differentiation from ERP systems
• Understand the relationships of intralogistics with the concepts of Industry 4.0 and consider them in logistics concepts
• Assess the use of different modes of transport and their optimal application
