To graduate from the degree programme in Automotive Engineering, you must:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • successfully complete all the classes<\/li>\n
  • produce a Bachelor’s thesis which must receive a pass mark<\/li>\n
  • pass the Bachelor’s examination <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Your title on graduation will be “Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc)”.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Bachelor’s thesis<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    You’ll produce one independent Bachelor’s thesis in the course of the degree programme, which must relate to topics covered in different modules of the programme. You can suggest your own topics or choose from a number of R&D topics provided by the degree programme. You’re also welcome to write your thesis in cooperation with a company. <\/p>\n

    The head of the teaching and research staff approves the topics and the responsible supervisors in good time. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Bachelor’s examination<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Exams are subject to the provisions of the FH JOANNEUM Examination Regulations. The Bachelor’s examination consists of an oral board exam which is open to the public. <\/p>\n

    In the exam students are required to present their thesis. This is followed by an oral exam on the thesis topics and related subjects of the curriculum. Students are required to deliver their presentation in English. Either German or English can be used in other parts of the examination. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    As a graduate you can continue onto the Master’s programme in Automotive Engineering, which primarily focuses on the complete vehicle. It allows you to examine scientific, technical and specialist disciplines in more detail and acquire soft and management skills. You’ll deal with topics such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and industrial engineering and take part in exciting projects such as the international Formula Student (FS).<\/p>\n

    In the second and third semester of the Master’s degree programme you select from a list of elective subjects the specialisations which match your personal interests. These elective modules include Lightweight Design, Rail Vehicle Engineering, and Tire Modeling. <\/p>\n
