Sensors and Actuators
Integrated course, 3.00 ECTS
Course content
Sensors and actuators are parts of control systems. Knowledge about the functions performed by engine and vehicle controls are the basis for the discussion of sensors and actuators. The objective is to provide an overview of these elements and to impart knowledge on how to use them.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the course, the student should have an overview of the use and functional principles of the most important sensors and actuators (electrical actuators or actuators with electrical interfaces) in a vehicle. He / she should be able to select and evaluate suitable sensors and actuators for typical applications in vehicle technology according to suitable criteria.
