Course content

Design of linear digital control systems using the state space formalism. Recap of simple PID control, state feedback control and observers. Use of modern CAE tools (Matlab, Simulink) with practice on a PC.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Statistics, basics in measurement engineering and electrical engineering, Matlab/Simulink; Newtons mechanics; description of continouus systems using transfer functions. State Space representation; Laplacian transformation; knowledge of transfer functions typically used in engineering; stability of linear SISO systems using Bode chart.

Due to Corona, an online exam and a homework
