Knowledge of the German language is thus an essential prerequisite (at least Level B2).<\/p>\n<h4>Qualification for university entrance<\/h4>\n<p>You can apply for a programme at FH JOANNEUM if you have completed<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a secondary academic school or a college for higher vocational education,<\/li>\n<li>a vocational matriculation exam or <\/li>\n<li>an apprenticeship diploma plus upper secondary certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h4>You have no university entrance qualification<\/h4>\n<p>If you have no secondary school leaving or vocational matriculation certificate you need<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a university entrance qualification exam or<\/li>\n<li>a relevant professional qualification plus additional exams, which you may take as part of the qualification course for university entrance <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You need to provide evidence that you have passed the relevant exams until the start of studies.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h5>Qualification course for university entrance<\/h5>\n<p>A university entrance qualification exam always consists of five modules. <\/p>\n<p>A university entrance qualification entitling students to study for a degree within the <strong>Medicine and Veterinary Medicine<\/strong> group of studies will be fully recognised for this degree programme.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h5>Relevant professional qualification plus additional examinations<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Relevant professional qualifications include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>completion of vocational education in health care and nursing (DGKS\/P)<\/li>\n<li>completion of vocational education in the allied health professions (MTF)<\/li>\n<li>a completed apprenticeship as therapeutic massage therapist or medical massage therapis<\/li>\n<li>a completed apprenticeship as nursing assistance and care professional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must complete the following subjects<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>German and<\/li>\n<li>English 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other professional qualifications include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>completion of a secondary vocational school for social professions<\/li>\n<li>completion of a secondary vocational school f&uuml;r economic professions, specialisation in &lsquo;Health\/Social Affairs&rsquo;<\/li>\n<li>a completed apprenticeship as dental technician<\/li>\n<li>a completed apprenticeship as dental assistent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must complete the following subjects<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>German<\/li>\n<li>Biology<\/li>\n<li>English 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants with relevant professional qualification must provide evidence that they have completed the additional examinations by 15 November of the first semester at the latest.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h4>You are not an Austrian citizen?<\/h4>\n<p>You&rsquo;ll need to meet certain requirements. For more information please go to <a href=\"https:\/\/fh-joanneum.at\/gesundheits-und-krankenpflege\/bachelor\/en\/admissions\/international-applicants\/\"><strong>International Applicants<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h4>Specific requirements for Health Sciences programmes<\/h4>\n<p>Once you have been accepted, you need to prove that you fulfil the health requirements for the course by submitting the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a health certificate proving medical suitability<\/li>\n<li>proof of having had the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sozialministerium.at\/Themen\/Gesundheit\/Impfen\/Impfempfehlungen-Allgemein\/Empfehlung-f%C3%BCr-Gesundheitspersonal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vaccinations recommended for health care workers in Austria by the Federal Ministry for Health<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The final assessment of medical suitability is the responsibility of the head of degree programme. <\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"wp-block-text-content margin-bottom-normal\">\n    <div class=\"container-lg\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col\">\n                <h3>New immunisation form for health studies<\/h3>\n<p>All future students of Health Care and Nursing must submit confirmation of the vaccinations prescribed by FH JOANNEUM upon enrolment. This is a requirement of various work placement centres so that contact with patients can be maintained.
