Double Degree: Study at Two European Universities<\/h3>\n

With the Double Degree programme, you will spend the fourth and fifth semesters of your studies at Savonia University of Applied Sciences<\/strong> in Finland<\/strong>, specialising in Hospitality and Tourism<\/strong>. During the summer break between the two semesters, you will also complete an English-language internship in Finland, gaining valuable international academic and professional experience. This means that you will spend a full year in Finland.<\/p>\n

Your stay abroad will strengthen your subject-specific and intercultural skills and provide you with new perspectives on international developments in the fields of health and tourism. In the sixth semester, you will return to FH JOANNEUM to complete your studies and your Bachelor’s thesis. As your academic achievements are mutually recognised by both universities, the Double Degree does not extend the standard duration of your studies. You will also earn an additional academic degree from the partner university.<\/p>\n

Partner University: Savonia University of Applied Sciences<\/h4>\n

Savonia University of Applied Sciences<\/a><\/strong> is one of Finland’s largest universities of applied sciences. You will study at the campus in Kuopio. Located in the heart of Finland, the city has around 120,000 inhabitants and offers a high quality of life and a wide range of leisure activities surrounded by Finland’s unique lake landscape.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tip<\/h4>\n

You can apply for Erasmus+ mobility funding for your stay abroad, which provides financial support towards travel and living expenses. EU citizens and long-term residents do not pay any additional tuition fees at the partner university.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Academic Degree<\/h4>\n

As part of the Double Degree programme, you will complete a Bachelor’s thesis supervised jointly by FH JOANNEUM and Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The Bachelor’s examination is held online with representatives from both universities.
\nUpon successful completion of the programme, you will receive two academic degrees. FH JOANNEUM awards you the degree Bachelor of Arts in Business, which you are entitled to use in Austria. Savonia University of Applied Sciences awards you the degree Bachelor of Hospitality Management, which you are entitled to use in Finland. The degree awarded by Savonia University of Applied Sciences also provides an advantage when entering the Finnish labour market.<\/p>\n
