Ethics and professional studies

Course content

A general overview of the philosophical and historical dimension of midwifery practice is given, and ethical predicaments and questions, raised within the field of midwifery work, are focused.

Learning outcomes

Students can understand the development oft the midwifery profession and are able to range recent progression within social and professional context. They act accordingly to the ethical midwifery codex of ICM, stay critical and reflective and worked towards fundamental ethical questions of today’s midwifery work.
