What is the admissions process? <\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The admissions process consists of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • a two-part aptitude test,<\/li>\n
  • an interview with the admissions committee and<\/li>\n
  • an overall assessment of previous qualifications and practical professional experience based on the portfolio<\/strong> and\/or the application <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Language proficiency will be tested in the course of the admissions process by conducting the aptitude test and the admissions interview in German and English.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Two-part aptitude test<\/h4>\n

    You will be invited to proceed in the admissions process if you meet the entry requirements and your application documents are complete and were submitted on time. <\/p>\n

    The aptitude test is designed to show whether you are suited to the course and will take place on a fixed date.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • The first part of the aptitude test consists of a critical analysis of a given design object<\/strong> and takes 1 hour.<\/li>\n
    • The second part of the test consists of developing a design concept on a given topic<\/strong> within four hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

      The personal interview<\/h4>\n

      All candidates are invited to a personal interview.<\/p>\n

      The interview gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your motivation, suitability and talent for the chosen course of study and a subsequent career in this field. <\/p>\n

      The interview will be conducted by the admissions committee of the degree programme. It will last around 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

      Assessment of previous qualifications and professional experience<\/h4>\n

      In addition to assessing relevant previous qualifications based on evidence of professional experience including the portfolio<\/strong> and the application, the following criteria will also be taken into account in the admission decision: <\/p>\n

        \n
      • previous degrees <\/li>\n
      • motivation for choosing the programme <\/li>\n
      • design, visual communication and technical skills<\/li>\n
      • proficiency in the software required for the Master’s degree programme <\/li>\n
      • relevant practical experience
