DESIGN | COMMUNICATION | MEDIA | WEB | INTERFACES | INTERACTION | EXHIBITION<\/p>\n

Information designers are experts in converting information into visual form. They plan and optimise communication processes in print, audio-visual and digital media. They design our immediate surroundings, allowing us to find our way around exhibitions and transport facilities easily, or use appliances intuitively.<\/p>\n

Right at the start of their studies, students learn the basics of design and communication so that they can specialise in moving images and animation, interaction and game design, and design in three-dimensional space in the following semesters. From the third semester onwards, students immerse themselves in independent design projects in their chosen field. The fifth semester offers opportunities to further develop acquired skills in interdisciplinary projects. The professional internship in the sixth semester can be completed in the UK or abroad. A semester abroad at one of our more than 80 partner universities is also possible.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Design expertise<\/h4>\n

The Bachelor’s programme in Information Design teaches practical, wide-ranging design skills and enables students to pursue individual specialisations in line with their personal interests.<\/p>\n

You will acquire knowledge of the basics and latest developments in design – from traditional techniques to innovative media technologies. There is a particular focus on sustainable practices and ethical responsibility in the design process.<\/p>\n

Practice and projects<\/h4>\n

Through interdisciplinary perspectives on design and collaboration, students broaden their understanding of different disciplines. Working on real-world projects and collaborating with companies and NGOs promotes practical experience. The programme is complemented by the integration of global perspectives and cultural sensitivity, as well as a focus on English-language instruction.<\/p>\n
