Mathematics for Informatics II

Course content

This course gives students an understanding of the specific
problems of computational mathematics. Basic numerical
mathematical methods to solve problems such as interpolation, approximation and systems of linear equations (including error handling and efficiency) form the fundamental skills for the design and analysis of numerical algorithms.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the module, students are informed about how to solve complex numerically mathematical problems, which play a fundamental role in computer science. In addition, students have a good understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
