Course content

This course presents an advanced overview of all relevant information on contemporary IT technologies. It is mainly meant as a preparatory course for those students that don't feel 100% sure in some or more of the topics covered within this course. This course should provide them with a solid basis for the high-level courses following. Students without these special needs can instead take one of the elective courses from area 1 (General Computing) or 2 (Advanced Networking). Topics covered: -Principles of computer science -Fundamentals -Data representation -Hard- and software -Computer architectures -Operating system principles -Networking basics -Programming basics
