To graduate from your degree programme, you must:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • successfully complete all the classes and internships<\/li>\n
  • produce a Bachelor’s thesis which must receive a pass mark<\/li>\n
  • pass the Bachelor’s examination <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Your title on graduation will be “Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (BSc)”.
    \nYour job title will be speech therapist.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Bachelor’s thesis<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    You will produce a Bachelor’s thesis, which includes both a theoretical and an empirical section, in the sixth semester. Through your thesis you’ll examine topics relating to speech and language therapy (for example, lesser known disorders or new approaches to therapy) and so contribute to new findings and quality assurance. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Bachelor’s examination<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Students sit the final examination after successfully completing all six semesters. The Head of Institute will chair the examination board. He or she is supported by three lecturers and the supervisors of the two Bachelor’s theses. In the exam you’ll first give a PowerPoint presentation on your first thesis, and then present your second thesis using a poster you’ve created. Your supervisors will then ask questions about the two theses. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    No Austrian universities of applied sciences currently offer a Master’s course in speech and language therapy.
