Entrepreneurial and Cross Cultural Competences

Course content

In scope of a case challenge students will work on real-world cases, provided and presented by entrepreneurs. Students will work in intercultural teams of five to six people, together with international students from the Global Business Program. During this seminar, students develop a better understanding of their entrepreneurial and intercultural competences. They test strategies on how to use these competencies, but also how to develop and improve them. For case-work a team approach is used, which is accompanied by coaching units.
As a product students develop an "elevator pitch", a two-minute summary of the results, and a detailed annotated presentation that is returned to the case givers. The best solutions will be awarded in a final event.

Learning outcomes

In this module students develop or improve international business skills, whether they seek to become entrepreneurs or (innovative) employees or whether they work with or in international companies. Students reflect on their own personal entrepreneurial and cross-cultural capacity, thereby gaining a better understanding of their individual development needs. The elaborated competences can be directly applied in subsequent project classes (M13, M26) and during the term abroad and internship period (M18, M22).
