Free Elective Course
Integrated course, 5.00 ECTS
Instead of one of the predefined modules students are able to select an equivalent of 5 ECTS from one of the following sources:
- Additional module offered by the degree programme itself.
- A course module from any other degree programme or another university fitting to the overall goals of the programme.
- The completion of at least four semesters (minimum of 8 semester hours) of accredited courses in a second foreign language with relevance to global food issues.
Through elective modules three possible paths of competency development are offered: Specialization in direction of the chosen focus or in a field not covered in detail in the regular curriculum; free choice of a course module from other degree programmes within and outside of the university. This way the overall personal competence profile is sharpened according to the planned field of occupation.
