Whether in the processing and production of food, packaging, sales and marketing or in agriculture: exciting careers in top positions await you in each of these areas, where you can make the most of your knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n<p>Below you will find a few examples of careers in which you could work after completing your degree:<\/p>\n<h4>Product developer<\/h4>\n<p>As a product developer in the food industry, you will contribute creative and innovative ideas to bring new products to market.<br>\nYour activities include the development of new recipes, the further development of existing recipes and the creation of prototypes. These are not only tested for taste, smell and appearance, but you may also be responsible for the shelf life of the products as well as the ideal packaging and labelling.<br>\nYou will work closely with customers and the production, quality assurance and marketing departments.<\/p>\n<h4>Quality Manager<\/h4>\n<p>As a quality manager, you make a decisive contribution to the quality and safety of food. You ensure that all products in the company meet the highest standards and comply with legal regulations as well as internal company and customer-specific requirements.<br>\nYour responsibilities include quality assurance and control along the entire production chain, from raw material procurement to the finished product. Through inspections and audits, you will ensure the quality of processes within the company and promote their continuous improvement. Your tasks also include the management of complaints and the development and evaluation of corrective measures.<br>\nThrough your work, you strengthen confidence in food production and are indispensable for the long-term success of the company.<\/p>\n<h4>Sustainability Manager<\/h4>\n<p>Sustainable management will play an increasingly important role in the future. Especially due to legal regulation, it is necessary for companies to act sustainably.<br>\nAs a sustainability manager, your goal is to harmonise ecological, economic and social aspects within the company and thus make a positive contribution to the environment and society.<\/p>\n<p>Your tasks could include, for example, implementing sustainable supply chain management, such as ensuring cooperation with suppliers to comply with environmental and social standards. The development of strategies to promote recycling and closed-loop systems as well as increasing energy and water efficiency are also part of the responsibilities of a sustainability manager.<br>\nIn this job, you have the opportunity to actively shape the future of the food industry. Increasing environmental and social awareness offers excellent career opportunities in national and international companies in the food industry.<\/p>\n<h4>ESG Manager<\/h4>\n<p>Sustainable management has become one of the most important success factors for the future, which is why many companies need expertise in implementing individual sustainability strategies. This is why ESG managers are in high demand in the food industry.<br>\nTheir tasks include, for example, promoting employee engagement and training on ESG issues, implementing environmental management systems and certifications such as ISO 14002, as well as communicating with stakeholders and reporting on sustainability issues. You can obtain the necessary certification from us as part of your degree programme.<\/p>\n<h4>Hygiene Manager<\/h4>\n<p>You can also acquire the title &lsquo;Hygiene Manager&rsquo; during your studies as an additional certificate in cooperation with Quality Austria.<br>\nEvery company that produces food or animal feed must fulfil all legal requirements regarding food safety and hygiene. This requires not only sound expertise on the part of the responsible employees, but also their ability to integrate the requirements and comprehensive hygiene awareness into operational practice.<br>\nAs a hygiene manager, you are responsible for the correct personnel hygiene in the company, pest management, the implementation and maintenance of a quality assurance system (e.g. HACCP) including the correct documentation and much more.<\/p>\n<h4>Food analyst<\/h4>\n<p>As a food analyst, you are responsible for examining and analysing food to ensure its safety, quality and nutritional value. You will carry out standardised tests to determine the chemical, physical or microbiological properties of food.
