Course content

Implementation of the theoretical knowledge in context of an internship at partner companies in conjunction with the company supervisor. This first practical term serves the mutual acquaintance in the future cooperative education company. Students get to know and to describe and document the product portfolio and the company structure. The structured writing of a working log and learning diary, as well as the writing of short technical reports in a business and technically-oriented context are among the introductory tasks. The personal reflection of the activities carried out with regard to the personal learning objectives as well as the contents and methods are learned.

Learning outcomes

The students gain fundamental knowledge of company processes and structures in their cooperative education companies. The interaction of business and technical framework conditions within the daily production operation is worked on via specific tasks and activities in the partner companies. Students gain a basic understanding of processes and structures in projects and production processes and become familiar with their significance for operational and value creation processes. Students can thus integrate into operational project teams and can apply technical and organizational skills allready acquired. As part of the first internship phase, the students will be assisted in their integration into their cooperative education companies. They practice the application of learning objectives, reflection on these, and assume responsibility for their experiential education.
