Course content

Application of expertise acquired on engineering projects within the industrial placement. The relevant topic(s) will be defined in accordance with the instructor.

Learning outcomes

Students know about the components used in industrial process engineering applications. They also have a profound understanding of the design and the controls used in these systems. The students are able to:

• design basic systems in plant engineering
• describe and explain application specific systems in process engineering
• analyze and review the pros and cons of various system solutions
• carry out basic computations in process and plant engineering
• select and review proceedings in commissioning systems and plants
• describe and explain process control systems
• apply basic control engineering methods on process engineering tasks
