Student projects provide students with the opportunity to put freshly-learned theory into practice. You can gain experience within your field whilst being guided, encouraged and supported by teaching staff. Projects involving students are often related to research at FH JOANNEUM, and are undertaken in close cooperation with a variety of Styrian health authorities.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The electronic X-ray passport (eRöntgenpass)<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

In response to an idea initiated by the Radiography degree programme, the EU PALANTE project (PAtient Leading and mANaging their healThcare through EHealth) began in February 2012. The aim of the project is to use Styria’s eRöntgenpass (electronic X-ray passport) to provide information on the benefits and potential risks associated with radiological examinations. The eRöntgenpass is designed to raise awareness and increase data transparency. It is also intended to strengthen understanding of radiology and radiation in general, and particularly the relationship between medical and natural exposure to radiation. The project partners are Styria’s hospital corporation (KAGes), the Styrian health fund and the Radiography and eHealth degree programmes at FH JOANNEUM. <\/p>\n

Students on the Radiography degree programme took part in the EU PALANTE project in order to strengthen their competencies in interdisciplinary problem-solving. <\/p>\n

Although after more than three years the official EU project has now ended, our students continue to be involved in related projects and quality control measures. These are often linked to the empirical part of the Bachelor’s thesis.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
