Course content

The course serves as an introduction to the
purpose and functionalities of operating systems in general and
the teaches the basic usage of a command line shell of the "Linux" operating system

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course students know the purpose and functionalities of operating systems, learn how to use different types of systems, get a profound knowledge of networks and the various
standards and protocols, basics of data transmission, various transmission media as well as the OSI reference model.
