In the fourth semester, our students complete their master’s thesis, including their own design piece – flexibly, independently of location and with a practical focus. This enables them to develop an individual portfolio project that showcases their personal design signature and strengthens their career opportunities.<\/p>\n

The students can apply and implement their own project ideas. They also work in cooperation with business and industry partners and as part of funded research projects. The Institute of Design & Communication at FH JOANNEUM and the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz cooperate with renowned partners from the automotive industry, food production industry, consumer electronics sector and other fields where sound design is relevant. We consistently include our students in our current research projects.
